Megan Fox has admitted that she is bothered by sexy actresses who have to overcompensate for their good looks by using a big vocabulary.
The 22-year-old said that she "resents" the expectations placed on her and does not want to follow the example of Scarlett Johansson, according to People.
She said: "I don't want to have to be like a Scarlett Johansson - who I have nothing against. But I don't want to have to go on talkshows and pull out every single SAT word I've every learned to prove, like, 'Take me seriously, I am intelligent, I can speak'."
Fox added: "I don't want to have to do that. I resent having to prove that I'm not a retard - but I do. And part of it is my own fault."
The Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen star admitted that she has "no idea how to handle" being labeled a sexpot and wants to steer clear of the image in her film work.
